Just Wear It!
The other day I was at Bergdorf Goodman and was meandering through their sale selection. Nice stuff, very nice stuff. Yes I was around the Michael Bastian rack. I was getting ready to purchase a shirt when the sales associate informed me that I needed to take good care of it as its “delicate” (it was a cotton shirt) hmmm. What does that mean? Am I a guy who walks around with a huge peanut butter and jelly sandwich?! I know how to take care of a shirt.
My guide to laundry!
Step 1. wear shirt….
Step 2. wash shirt…in washing machine
Step 3. dry shirt…repeat
Now I know there are exceptions (cashmere,wool etc) but oxford shirts,cotton,etc. The “Jeremy Guide to Washing” should do the job!
So many people I know just worry too much about their clothes. “Nice folks congrats you bought a nice shirt/shorts/pants.”
Now wear it and enjoy it! If it gets a hole or fades etc cool! It adds character and hopefully you have a nice story to tell about it. “Like I was riding a horse through the sunset and a rescued a dame!”
Or
“I was sitting at my desk typing away furiously on my blog when my arms caught on fire!”
Alright…I shall end my rant. You know what? You just do what makes you happy.
