Losing Touch

About 5 years ago I got a tattoo on my left forearm that had the abbreviation of a bible verse on it. A few people thought it was lame but I could honestly give a shit. It was for me, it was my reminder of what I was continuing to learn and explore. Sort of a small “this is where I am, this is where I want to be” I mean that’s what most folks get tattoo’s for right? Reminders? Memories?

The tattoo is written in ancient greek and you can imagine how many folks in NYC point and wonder “Hey what does your tattoo mean?” I never had an issue explaining and some times it would feel that a …

    Stay Warm Pt 2

I don’t think many people get the classic wool hat better than J. Press. You don’t need any special “future” fabric (vapor-wick, magic gore tex etc) Wool hats worked great for your grand parents and should work for you too.

    CHECK IT!

    Cider anyone?

      Boot Season

I don’t know about you all but I’m a big fan of the cold weather. Wool hats, wool coats and a good pair of boots.

Did you get a pair for the season? Hopefully you bought a pair a long time ago that should last you plenty.

A good pair of boots (just like any good shoe) should last you the rest of your life.

Go get a pair…here are some suggestions – some are pricier than others but they are all Made in the USA

You go to a site that’s really good. Like really good.

Ladies and Gentleman go visit Put This On: A Web Series About Dressing Like A Grownup

When I first went to the site I was like umm…this is cool I guess, then I watched their episode and informative guid to denim.

It was funny, witty and well pretty damn good.

Makes me feel like a farty when I look at my blog. I’m like “Dang man I wanna be a big kid too.”

Alas I must work 40+ hours a week all good though.

So check this out and watch it and well don’t be scared to laugh as the guy they interview is really into denim. I mean …

          Pendleton Blankets

Pendleton blankets continue to be hand made in their north western factory since they started. Its true that a few companies still make some of their blankets in the USA eg. Woolrich etc. Pendleton blankets are meant to last, forever. My mother has some great blankets that just look better and better every year. A bit of some sun stains here and there they just add character. Grab one and pass it down to your kids. A good friend of mine was talking about investing in quality items and his reason was

“You don’t want to hand down a Old Navy Perfomance Fleece to your kids.”

He’s right and I couldn’t have said it better myself.…
