    Vesuvio Backpack

    Vesuvio Backpack

White Mountaineering is continuing to become a favorite brand of mine.

Not only do they have a great logo with a slick font but its designed and founded by Yosuke Aizawa, a former assistant to Junya Watanabe.…

      One Small Step for…

SWT has been a busy place lately and has had a welcomed amount of new readers the past couple of weeks.

I wanted to thank all of you for spreading the word and giving SWT some love.

A HUGE thanks to Selectism too, I did a Wear & Tear Piece for them featuring my Quoddy’s (check it out here).

So, thanks again everyone for coming back day after day, if I had some trophies…well you all would get them!

        Woolrich F/W 2010

        Woolrich F/W 2010

Woolrich celebrates their 180th anniversary this year.

In honor of that, they created a special limited edition fall collection- I must say it looks great!

Great parkas, heavyweight sweaters and down vests make it look quite cozy. Makes me wish it was fall.…

          Listen To This: Four Tet

          Listen To This: Four Tet

Recently I picked up the latest release of Four Tet “There Is Love In You” and I can’t stop listening to it. From start to finish its a great record. I put this on and my work suddenly flies by (not totally true but you get what I mean).

I’ve been a fan of Four Tet for a while and got into him (Kieran Hebden) when he first did the remixes for Kings of Convenience.

Although the record is meant to be played over a loud stereo, I think listening to it in your car makes you think you’re in a horrible movie about fast cars. That may just be me, though as I’m paranoid of listening to instrumental …

            Summer Knits

            Summer Knits

It’s starting to become that time of the year where its burninating hot outside during the day…but in the evenings its a bit chilly. This is my favorite kind of weather but its always a bit confusing.

Either be hot or be cold but, honestly, are you going to be “that guy” who complains about weather? You’ll sound like Mr. Wilson from the Dennis the Menace? …

              Borrelli Luxury Vintage

              Borrelli Luxury Vintage

Recently, the famed Italian brand Luigi Borelli released their “Luxury Vintage” line.

This line is based off of the original designs Luigi created in 1957. I finally saw these in the store the other day and I was really impressed. Like most Borrelli, the shirts are almost entirely hand sewn and the jackets are fully canvassed. The quality and handwork that goes into these pieces is incredible.…

                Race on…Tour De France 1986

In honor of the Tour De France  coming up…

1986 was the year Greg LeMond (USA) won, he was the first American to win the Tour and it was brutal…

It’s also the first year an American cycling team entered (7-Eleven)

Here are some photos of the epic race in 1986 and a video of the most difficult leg… the French Alps…
