Julia Pott…
One of the many reasons I love New York is how many talented people are around, it’s both mind blowing and intimidating at the same time.
Recently, my friend Noah (whom many of you have been listening to lately ) introduced me to Julia Pott.
I am now mildly obsessed…
Her art reminds me of Eric Chase Anderson, Jon Scieska, and John Hendrix. I love it. It’s playful, a bit quirky and makes me think of more people as animals! Ha!
It was funny to meet her because she has to be one of the most humble artists I’ve ever met. It wasn’t until me googling her later that I found out she had done videos for Bat For Lashes and The Decemberists. Upon seeing them I was like well of course, why wouldn’t she!?
A native of London she graduated from Kingston University and has kept herself pretty busy since then. Just check out her etsy store and blog.
Please folks, do yourself a favor and check her out. You won’t be disappointed.
Here is one of my favorite videos of hers.

Oh I love her work! I hadn’t seen that video yet though – thanks so much.
Julias work is indeed quite cool
Great and unique work, edgy combined with cool!
