Club Monaco?!

Does anyone know what’s going on over there? I remember Club Monaco being Ralph Lauren’s ugly step child filled with nautical graphic tees and diesel knockoffs!?

Recently, Club Monaco has been on fire. Taking bits of Brunello Cucinelli, Thom Browne, Michael Bastian, 80′s Polo and mixing it up into one hell of a F/W collection.

Their looks are put together perfectly as well-not too overwhelming.

Last but not least the quality lives up to the look, a friend of mine went recently and dropped over 1k there (which at that store is a lot).

The donegal wool sweaters and wool pants he grabbed look spectacular…still!

Sadly, most shops along those lines make some cool looking stuff that lasts until you wear it out for the third time. NOT SO!

It’s good to know that there are still affordable shops out there doing things right.

If you get some time, head over to Club Monaco and stock up on some great essentials for the rest of winter!

I was just telling some of the guys just last night how they’re killing J Crew in terms of the overall lineup, and that includes third party pieces.

….Plus didn’t they have Thom Browne’s old designer for sometime? I was looking at some of the pieces swearing up and down it was TB’s…

IIRC Thom Browne designed for Club Monaco until 2001. A lot of their pieces resemble items from more expensive collections, but they’ve definitely stepped up their game recently, especially this season.

I’ve become a big fan of club monaco over the past year. Great stuff for a decent price They always have the best color palettes too. The only thing I would complain about is the fit on some of the items…Their trousers don’t fit me well, and the blazers are a little too cropped and the button stance on them is way too high.

Way too many 3-button blazers when I went in last weekend. Wasn’t in the mood to shop but did look around. For some reason all of the items on the racks were S or XS, at 6’3″ and 195lbs. that ain’t gonna cut it.
