A Look : June Rain

Its been raining quite a bit the past few days and allowed for the hot days of june to cool off. Today was a bit more casual all thanks to the white velcro tennis shoes and GoreTex coaches jacket.

Patrik Ervell is becoming the staple for club collar oxfords, they’re always a bit starched almost and have this nice casual sheen to them. I love them

The blue poplin trousers by Epaulet are incredible, Mike (from Epaulet) has really nailed the cut and not skimped on the manufacturing. A fantastic pant.

Yes, I still have my trusty Casio watch, quite possibly the best $25 I’ve ever spent.

The casualness of a painter pant, washed oxford, crewneck and some brown longwings.

Yes, its supposed to be up to 86° F today, a bit warm I agree.

I grabbed a hat this morning because the sun is bright and I’m gonna walk around outside! Wear your shades and call it a day.

The Case for Camo

Its true, I really am on a camo kick right now. You might be reading this and thinking really? camo? So a few folks asked to see how I put camo in my wardrobe.

Lemme start off by saying, its not a goal to always make sure I’m wearing something with camo. It never has been, but recently I’ve realized how camo can really play down and add sportiness to any outfit.

Example, with these pants(Mark McNairy x MWR 8 Pocket Camo Cargos) I paired the camo with a Harris Tweed Blazer, Brooks Brothers Black Fleece Oxford, J.Press Tie, and last but not least some Alden Longwings (not shown).

I think there are a few simple rules when wearing camo

Mix it up, don’t let the camo control the outfit, Use it to play down what you’re wearing.

Pair it with something rugged, like a washed beat up oxford not a t-shirt.

Last, just make sure you never look like this guy.
