I’ve never been a big fan of the saddle shoe, but these new arrivals from Alden x Blackbird are amazing. These are made by Alden (duh) in Massachusetts and available exclusively at Blackbird in Seattle (or online).

Get Your Spring Parka
February 9th, 2010 · 5 Comments
Huddled by your radiator? Bummer.
Well if you’re like me, you don’t hang around your radiator because when you go near it shakes and shrieks like a Jonas Brothers fan.
So I just think about spring and how I’m going to get a fake tan and flare my hair out.
All seriousness aside here.
I’m just thinking about these!

Ski Sweaters
January 26th, 2010 · 6 Comments
I’ve always been into the rather loud and obnoxious sweaters. Specifically ski sweaters.
They have this classic throw back vibe to them that has always resonated with me. Almost any warm feeling winter memory has always involved the wooly beast (ski sweater). Lately, I have been doing some eBay hunting looking for some vintage ones. *note [...]

A Thought, An Apology
January 14th, 2010 · 4 Comments
Earlier this week I saw a woman scream at another woman from her car because she was crossing the street.
Why did the woman scream at the other woman for crossing the street?
She was only crossing the street?!
There is a bit of “powering up” one does when they are behind the wheel of two tons of [...]

Red Pants are gonna hit hard this spring.
Some people call these “Go To Hell” pants. which are basically pants that are a bold color (usually red) or with a repeating embroidered print.
The actual term came from the author Tom Wolfe who used the phrase in one of his essays in the 60’s to describe [...]

Losing Touch

I don’t think many people get the classic wool hat better than J. Press. You don’t need any special “future” fabric (vapor-wick, magic gore tex etc) Wool hats worked great for your grand parents and should work for you too.
