Now and again I do my best to see past the bs that is the world I think I live in and look at the things that are important.

* I might love clothes but I love my friends 1000x more

* Speaking of friends, make sure you have more that are smarter than you. It will help you out because you’ll most likely make a fool out of yourself…all the time.

* Never underestimate the power of manners…or a good tailor

* Pre-marital counseling is kind of the coolest thing on earth

* Working out at the gym consistently is easier when you go to a real gym

* Fleetwood Mac is still probably one of the best bands …

Once a year folks round up, have a few drinks, and talk about what they’re going to do different starting that next week (usually lasting the same amount of time.)

It’s called New Years Eve!

It’s a glorious holiday filled with booze, funny hats and bad talk show hosts.

Do I sound crabby here? Depressed?

Not in the slightest! New Years is a big deal to me, I love it! It really is a time to try and make changes (or at least attempt to) and be thankful for everyone around you.

Like most folks- I recently unpacked my trunk and took out all my sweaters and warm clothes for fall. It was kind of nice to transition everything. I put away the madras, shorts, and the t-shirts I always think I’ll wear but I never do.

Upon unpacking for fall, I realized I hadn’t done a very good job that May or whatever too hot a day it was. Some of the cashmere sweaters were dirty and/or smelled like bad cedar…crap.

I knew I had to get these cleaned before I wore them. So, because I’m a little light in the wallet right now I figured it might be a good idea to experiment with washing cashmere. I don’t have the money …

The never ending New York heatwave continues to wear me down but I’m alive. I’ll be around going to ENK and Capsule the next couple of days.
